Invisalign® For Kids, Teens & Adults
Invisalign is a custom appliance used to straighten your teeth. Not only are the plastic aligners invisible, but they’re also removable, so you can eat and drink what you want during treatment.
Clear braces at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics are made of a clear ceramic material and are less visible on your teeth than metal braces.
Metal & Champagne Braces
Traditional metal braces are the most common type at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics and are more comfortable than ever. We also offer Iconix champagne braces to give you an aesthetic, classy option if you want something a little more special.

You deserve a healthy, beautiful smile no matter your age. At Taylor & Murray Orthodontics, we offer a full range of orthodontic treatment options for children, teens, and adults.

Metal Braces & Other Options
Most patients we treat at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics choose traditional metal braces to straighten their teeth.
Metal braces are the most common type of orthodontic treatment in Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens, but you have other options, too.
After your first free consultation exam, Dr. Murray will talk to you about which treatment would be right for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.
Fixed Appliances Vs. Removable Appliances
At Taylor & Murray Orthodontics, we believe you should be fully educated when it comes to your treatment. It’s helpful for patients around Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens, to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances.
Dr. Murray attaches fixed appliances, like braces, to your teeth and won’t take them off until you complete your treatment at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics.
When Dr. Murray prescribes a removable appliance like Invisalign’s aligner system, you’ll wear it most of the day, but you can take the trays out of your mouth.
Besides the obvious differences, Taylor & Murray Orthodontics uses Invisalign aligners to treat mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Dr. Murray generally uses fixed appliances for comprehensive and serious treatment.
Retainers are fixed or removable appliances worn after finishing your orthodontic treatment at Taylor & Murray Orthodontics. A removable retainer attaches to your upper or lower teeth and holds them in their newly-straightened positions.
Typically you’ll wear your retainers every night to sleep or according to the instructions from Dr. Murray.
Always keep your retainers in their case when you aren’t wearing them.
- NEVER WRAP YOUR RETAINER IN A NAPKIN! This is the best way to lose it!
- Clean your retainers daily with a toothbrush and dish soap using cold water.
- Brushing your retainer removes the plaque and eliminates the odors.
- You can use Efferdent or other orthodontic appliance cleaners, but they do not take the place of brushing.
- Retainers are breakable, so treat them with care.
- Keep retainers away from hot water, car dashboards, and the dishwasher, and keep them out of your pockets.
- If your retainers are lost or broken, please call us immediately.
- Always bring your retainers to your appointments.
