Conditions We Treat
Whether it's a simple spacing issue or a complex bite correction, Dr. Murray has the training and technology to get your smile where it needs to be.
Crowded Teeth
When there isn't enough room in your jaw, teeth overlap and twist. Crowding makes brushing and flossing harder, which can lead to cavities and gum problems over time. Braces and Invisalign both work well here.
Overbite
An overbite means your upper front teeth overlap too far over your lower teeth. Left untreated, it can wear down enamel, cause jaw pain, and even affect how you chew and speak.
Underbite
When your lower teeth sit in front of your upper teeth, it affects your bite, your profile, and sometimes your confidence. Underbite treatment often involves braces, and in more severe cases, surgical orthodontics.
Crossbite
A crossbite happens when some upper teeth sit behind lower teeth instead of in front. It can cause uneven jaw growth and worn-down teeth. Early treatment in kids can prevent more complex correction later.
Gaps Between Teeth
Spaces between teeth can trap food, affect your speech, and make you self-conscious about smiling. Whether it's a single gap or multiple spaces, treatment is usually straightforward with Invisalign or clear aligners.
Protruding Teeth
Teeth that stick out are more vulnerable to injury, especially for active kids and teens in Palm Beach County. Treatment brings them into proper alignment and protects them from chips and fractures.
Open Bite
When your front teeth don't touch when you bite down, eating and speaking become harder than they should be. Open bites are very treatable, though more complex cases may need a combination approach.
Impacted Teeth
Sometimes a tooth can't break through the gum on its own — it gets stuck. Dr. Murray works with oral surgeons to guide impacted teeth into place, avoiding extraction when possible.
Misaligned Jaw
Jaw alignment problems can cause headaches, TMJ pain, and trouble chewing. As a Board-Certified Orthodontist with advanced training, Dr. Murray treats even complex bite and jaw cases.
Not sure what's going on with your teeth or your child's bite? That's exactly what the free consultation is for. No referral needed — Palm Beach County families can book directly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do braces cost in Palm Beach Gardens?
Braces at Murray Orthodontics typically range from $3,000 to $7,000 depending on your specific treatment needs. Every patient is different, so we provide a complete cost breakdown during your free consultation — no surprises, no hidden fees. We also accept most Florida insurance plans and offer flexible, no-interest payment options so you can choose what works for your budget.
What's the difference between Invisalign and braces?
Both Invisalign and traditional braces straighten teeth effectively — the best option depends on your case, lifestyle, and preferences. Invisalign uses clear, removable aligners that are nearly invisible, while braces use brackets and wires that work around the clock. During your free consultation, Dr. Murray will evaluate your teeth and recommend the option that'll get you the best results in the shortest time. About half of our patients are adults who choose Invisalign for its flexibility.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes — every new patient gets a completely free, no-obligation consultation. During your visit, Dr. Murray will do a thorough exam, take X-rays and photos to evaluate your teeth and bite, discuss your treatment options, and give you a full financial breakdown including insurance benefits. You can even start treatment the same day if you're ready.
Call our Palm Beach Gardens office at 561-775-7999 or our Royal Palm Beach office at 561-795-7707 to schedule.
What age should my child first see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial evaluation by age 7. At that age, Dr. Murray can spot developing issues — like crowding, crossbites, or jaw alignment problems — and determine whether early treatment could prevent bigger issues down the road. Many kids won't need early treatment, and that's perfectly fine. The evaluation is free, and you'll leave knowing exactly where your child stands.
Is it too late to get braces as an adult?
Not at all — about half of our patients at Murray Orthodontics are adults. Whether you're 25 or 65, orthodontic treatment works at any age. Many of our adult patients in Palm Beach County choose Invisalign or clear braces for a more discreet option. Dr. Murray has advanced training in adult orthodontics and can walk you through which treatment fits your lifestyle during a free consultation.
How long does orthodontic treatment take?
Most treatment plans at Murray Orthodontics take between 12 and 24 months, though some mild cases can wrap up even sooner. The timeline depends on what we're correcting — simple spacing issues are faster, while more complex bite corrections take longer. During your free consultation, Dr. Murray will give you a realistic timeline based on your specific case. With our advanced technology, including shape-memory wires and 3D treatment planning, we're often able to achieve results more efficiently than traditional approaches.
What makes Murray Orthodontics different from other orthodontists in Palm Beach County?
A few things set us apart: Dr. Murray is a Board-Certified Orthodontist — a distinction only about a third of orthodontists achieve — with training from Duke University and the University of Florida. We've been consistently recognized as a top orthodontist in Palm Beach County, and our patients have left over 270 five-star Google reviews across both locations. As an independently owned, boutique practice, you'll see the same doctor at every visit and our staff — some with over 25 years of experience — will know you by name. We're not a corporate chain. We're the kind of office where families actually look forward to their appointments.
