What Usually Stops Jupiter Adults From Starting Invisalign

The hard part of Invisalign isn’t wearing the aligners. It’s getting a straight answer before you start.

Most people we meet have been thinking about their teeth for years: a front tooth that drifted after the retainer went missing, or a bite that has never felt right. The questions stall them. Will aligners work for my teeth? What will it really cost? Who is actually planning it?

Around Jupiter, most offices that offer Invisalign won’t post a price, and few explain who checks your progress. Our job is to answer all of it in one visit, so you can stop wondering and decide.

Why It Matters Who Plans Your Invisalign

Invisalign results depend more on who plans the case than on the aligners themselves. That matters most when your bite needs correcting, not just your front teeth.

Dr. Murray trained at Duke University and Nova Southeastern University, then completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Florida. He is a Board-Certified Orthodontist through the American Board of Orthodontics. Certification is voluntary, built on peer-developed written and clinical exams, and renewed every 10 years.

Invisalign and Spark both make excellent aligners, but neither one plans your treatment. A person decides which teeth move in what order, where attachments go and how your bite is handled. That planning is the orthodontics, and the plastic is how it gets delivered.

Dr. Murray holds top-tier Invisalign provider status based on case volume and outcomes, and he has advanced training in clear aligner treatment. You can check his board certification yourself on the American Board of Orthodontics online locator by searching ZIP code 33410.

What Invisalign Costs for Jupiter Patients

Invisalign at Murray Orthodontics costs $3,500 to $7,500, the same range as clear braces. Where you land depends on how much movement your teeth need and how long treatment takes.

A single arch of minor crowding sits at the low end. A full case with bite correction over 18 months sits higher.

One fee covers the whole course of treatment: your 3D scan, every aligner set, every check-in and refinements as your case progresses. You are not paying per tray.

Insurance and payment plans

We accept more Florida insurance plans than most orthodontic practices, and we check your benefits before you come in. Plans with orthodontic coverage typically put $1,500 to $3,000 toward treatment, usually as a lifetime maximum.

For the rest, our payment plans are always no interest and handled in our office. You can pick your payment, stretch it over extended monthly payments with a reduced down payment, or take a discount for paying in full. HSA and FSA funds are accepted.

We won’t quote a monthly number before we’ve seen your teeth and checked your benefits, because any number at that stage is a guess. Our full Invisalign cost breakdown goes deeper, and there’s a page on help paying for orthodontic treatment too.

Comparing quotes from Jupiter offices

A low number that covers a set count of trays and leaves out refinements and follow-up visits isn’t the same offer as a complete case. Ask every office what happens if your teeth need more movement at the end.

How Invisalign Works at Murray Orthodontics, Step by Step

Here’s what happens from your first visit to your retainers, and how often you’ll make the drive from Jupiter.

  1. Free consultation (about 60 minutes). X-rays, photos and an exam with Dr. Murray himself. He tells you whether aligners will get you the result you want, and you leave with your exact cost in writing.
  2. 3D scan, no goopy impressions. Our Medit digital scanner builds a 3D model of your teeth for treatment planning. If you’re ready, you can start the same day and skip a second trip from Jupiter.
  3. Attachments go on. Small tooth-colored attachments are placed with a clear template tray and set with a curing light. They give your aligners something to grip so your teeth move precisely.
  4. Wear and switch. You wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day and move to the next set every one to two weeks. Most patients see visible change within the first two or three months.
  5. Check-ins every 8 to 12 weeks. Dr. Murray checks that your teeth are tracking with the plan. Over a year, that works out to roughly four to six visits.
  6. Refinements if you need them. Roughly half of Invisalign cases get a short round of refinement aligners near the end to finish the details. They’re included in your fee.
  7. Retainers at night. Once your aligners come off, you wear retainers at night to hold your new smile in place.

What Invisalign Can Fix

Crowding, gaps and rotated teeth are routine. Many bite problems respond well too, with attachments, bite ramps and elastics doing work the trays can’t do alone.

  • Crooked and crowded teeth: the most common reason people choose aligners
  • Gaps between teeth: one of the things aligners do best
  • Overbite: mild to moderate cases respond well to precision bite ramps
  • Overjet: treatable in many cases, often with elastics alongside the aligners
  • Crossbite: often treatable, depending on whether the cause is tooth position or jaw width
  • Open bite: frequently a good aligner case, since aligners are effective at closing bites
  • Underbite: mild dental underbites yes, skeletal underbites usually not

Severe skeletal problems and very large tooth movements often finish faster and more predictably in braces. Dr. Murray tells you which group you’re in at the first visit. If another office told you that you need extractions or jaw surgery, a second opinion here is free.

Invisalign, Spark or Mail-Order Aligners?

We offer both Invisalign and Spark clear aligners. The differences are in the material and how the trays are trimmed at the gumline, and neither is better across the board. Dr. Murray recommends the one that suits your case and tells you why.

Mail-order aligners are a different product. They work from an impression you take yourself, without X-rays, an in-person exam or usually attachments, which limits them to mild crowding. Nobody checks your gums or bone before treatment or watches what happens during it.

If you’re still deciding between aligners and brackets, our guide on choosing between braces and Invisalign covers the trade-offs, and clear braces cost the same as Invisalign here.

Invisalign for Jupiter Adults, Teens and Part-Time Residents

Adults

About half of our patients are adults, and aligners are why many of them finally came in. Teeth move at 45 the same way they move at 15. Treatment can take a little longer because adult bone remodels more slowly.

A lot of adult cases are retreatments. You had braces as a teen, the retainer stopped, and your front teeth drifted. That case is usually shorter and less expensive than the first round. More on our adult orthodontics page.

Teens

Invisalign Teen includes compliance indicators that show how much the aligners are actually worn, eruption tabs that leave room for teeth still coming in, and six replacement aligners in case a few go missing.

Teens with all their permanent teeth, often around ages 12 to 14, tend to be good candidates. The deciding factor is compliance, meaning the aligners stay in 20 to 22 hours a day. If that won’t happen, Dr. Murray will say so, because braces would get a better result for the same money. Our Invisalign for teens guide covers the rest.

Part-time residents and families moving to Jupiter

If you split your year between Jupiter and somewhere up north, aligners travel far better than braces. Your aligner sets go with you, and with check-ins 8 to 12 weeks apart, visits can often be scheduled around the months you’re in town.

Bring your travel schedule to your consultation so it’s built into your plan from the start. Moving to Jupiter partway through treatment? We welcome transfer patients.

What Patients Say

Invisalign in Jupiter: Common Questions

How much does Invisalign cost in Jupiter, FL?

At Murray Orthodontics, Invisalign costs $3,500 to $7,500, the same as clear braces. One fee covers your scan, every aligner, every check-in and refinements.
Insurance with orthodontic coverage typically puts $1,500 to $3,000 toward treatment, and our payment plans are always no interest. You get your exact cost in writing at your free consultation.

Is there a Board-Certified Orthodontist for Invisalign near Jupiter?

Yes. Dr. Jonathan Murray is a Board-Certified Orthodontist and a top-tier Invisalign provider. He treats Jupiter patients at our Palm Beach Gardens office, about 15 to 20 minutes south.

How far is your office from Jupiter?

Our Palm Beach Gardens office at 2517 Burns Rd is about 5 to 10 miles south of Jupiter. Most patients get here in 15 to 20 minutes by I-95 or US-1.

How long does Invisalign take?

Most cases take 12 to 18 months. Minor corrections can finish sooner, sometimes in 6 to 9 months, and complex bites take longer.
Wearing your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day is the biggest factor in finishing on schedule.

How often will I need to drive in from Jupiter?

Every 8 to 12 weeks for a quick check-in with Dr. Murray. Over a year, that’s roughly four to six visits.

Who will I see at each visit?

Dr. Murray, every time. He plans your case, checks your progress at each check-in and is there when your aligners come off. You won’t be handed off to a rotating set of doctors.

Does insurance cover Invisalign?

Most Florida orthodontic plans cover a portion, often the same benefit they apply to braces. We check your benefits before your first visit, so the number you see at your consultation already has insurance applied. HSA and FSA funds are accepted.

Can I start the same day as my consultation?

Yes. If you’re ready, same-day starts are available, which saves a second trip from Jupiter. If you’d rather think it over, nobody will pressure you.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Expect pressure for a day or two with each new set, which most patients describe as tightness rather than pain. Some people notice a slight lisp for the first few days while the tongue adjusts.

Can I drink coffee with my aligners in?

Water only. Coffee, tea and anything with color can stain the trays, and hot drinks can warp them. Take them out, drink, rinse and put them back.

Can I get Invisalign if I had braces as a kid?

Yes, and it’s one of the most common reasons adults come in. Retreatment is often shorter and less expensive than the original round.

What happens if I lose an aligner?

Call the office. We’ll usually have you go back to your previous set or move forward to the next one while a replacement is ordered. Invisalign Teen includes six replacement aligners.

Do I have to wear a retainer afterward?

Yes. Teeth drift back toward where they started, especially in the first year. At our office, retainer wear is nights only once your aligners come off.

What’s the difference between Invisalign and Spark?

Both are clear aligner systems, and we offer both. The differences are in the material and how the trays are trimmed at the gumline. Dr. Murray recommends whichever suits your case.

Can I transfer my aligner treatment to your office?

Yes. We regularly welcome transfer patients, including families moving to the Jupiter area. Bring any records you have to your free consultation.
